Anna Magnusson, sister of BBC's Sally Magnuson and daughter of the legendary Magnus Magnusson, is well acquainted with all forms of the media.

From 1988 to 2009 Anna was a radio producer with BBC Scotland and in 1999, joined the religious radio department, based in Glasgow.


She remained in charge of religious and ethical programming for the station, from 2002 to 2009.

Anna is a regular contributor to Radio 4's long running, Prayer for the Day and Radio 2's well established, Pause for Thought.


She has produced and presented a wide range of radio programmes, from conversation strands to documentaries and features.


Anna has made radio documentaries all over the world and in 1998 produced a 6-part series on the Scottish environmentalist, John Muir. She also teaches radio production to media students.

In 2012 she won the Sandford St Martin Trust Radio Prize.

Anna is an accomplished freelance writer and in 2006 published The Quarriers Story, a history of Quarriers Homes, once the biggest orphanage in Scotland and now a leading care charity.


In September 2007 she published The Sky's the Limit, a biography of Vicky Jack, the first Scotswoman to climb 'the seven summits' the highest peaks on the seven continents. 

Anna is a witty and engaging speaker. Apart from giving talks and presentations on radio, the media and writing, she is happy to accept a brief from clients and will adapt her speech accordingly.


Anna is also an exceptional awards conference host and facilitator.
