Bill McMurdo

Bill McMurdo is a remarkable man with years of after-dinner speaking to his credit. His interesting life as the first major footballers’ agent in Europe takes Bill all over the globe and makes for a fascinating tale at his many appearances at Sporting dinners and lunches.

Media Coverage gives an insight into the life of Bill McMurdo - The first FIFA registered agent in Europe and possibly in the world.

Bill is probably most famous for being George Best's right hand man and manager and travelled the world with him.

He lifts the lid on the real story behind the headlines, when former Celtic player Mo Johnston rocked Scottish Football by signing for rival Old Firm team, Rangers. Bill claims that Mo was keen to leave Nantes in France and return home to Scotland.

Celtic registered interest and the deal seemed to be on. But then Italian giants Torino came in for Mo too. Bill thought a move to Italy would be best for Mo, but he was determined to return to Scotland. And then, out of the blue ....... came the boys in blue.

Lots more fascinating tales of the business world in the football game.

Throughout his career, Bill has represented such players as Frank McAvennie, John Collins, John Hughes, Davie Weir, Richard Gough, Barry Ferguson and many others over his forty years in the game. Bill was also Jock Wallace's agent.

At the moment, he represents 30 Spanish players throughout the World.
