Helen Fospero

Helen Fospero is a well-respected TV journalist, known for her warmth and professionalism. She is a regular on BBC1's The One Show, and reports for Watchdog. Previous to that, she had presented Five News and Sky News. She launched the BBC's flagship regional show Look North and had also worked for GMTV in 2000 as their US correspondent based in New York during which time she covered the US presidential elections and was the only British TV journalist to witness the twin towers come down in New York on September 11th. She spent the next year reporting on terrorist threat.

Helen's career started in newspapers but these days she is equally comfortable with grilling politicians and those from the business world as she is with celebrities. She has interviewed some of the worlds biggest actors and musicians, including Elton John, Mel Gibson, George Clooney, Cliff Richard, Dame Judy Dench, Cher and Diana Ross. Her world exclusive with Paul McCartney when Linda was diagnosed with cancer was what prompted GMTV to create a special role for her.

Away from journalism, Helen is a regular in Dictionary Corner on C4's Countdown; she's made films and flown with The Red Arrows and she's a founder of the Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation, with Heston Blumenthal.

Helen is an experienced and well-liked facilitator and host for corporate events.

Helen is an experienced host. She is adept at handling conferences and awards ceremonies. Recent clients include Rolls Royce, Barclays, PwC and Pioneer Investments. She hosted an Elton John concert in front of 23,000 screaming fans!
