Karen Bremner is full of energy, confidence and with a wealth of experience, Karen is a qualified lawyer, stockbroker and ex-Royal Air Force officer.


She was also one of the contestants on BBC2's second series of The Apprentice with Sir Alan Sugar.


The show reached a new viewing record for BBC2 of 5.5 million.

Widely considered to be the shock firing of the series, Karen left in episode three with her professionalism and integrity intact.

In an interview later with the Sunday Mirror, Karen said Alan Sugar has very old-fashioned views about women and very old-fashioned views about women and business It probably didnt help Karen being a lawyer as Sir Alan made repeated reference to the fact saying I dont need more corporate lawyers. Karen will immediately point out that she is not and never has been a corporate lawyer.

Karen has appeared regularly on Scottish Television and national radio since her departure from The Apprentice and has spoken at events all over the UK.

In 2006 Karen took up an appointment as business correspondent for Talk107. In September 2009, Karen started recording for a brand new STV production 'The Greatest Scot', a landmark series where a panel of experts including historians, politicians, business men and women, and cultural and religious leaders have selected a short list of 30 names in the search for the greatest Scot of them all. The result was announced live on STV on St Andrew's night, November 30th 2009.

Karen's legal and military training ensures she remains calm under pressure and that she is a professional addition to any event. A superb facilitator and host, as well as an after dinner speaker who is happy to cover topics such as law, business, the military and motivation.

Karen was born in Canada but now lives in Angus, Scotland. She is also a qualified glider pilot
