After Dinner & Event Speaker (in association with SpeakOut)
Oli Norman is the founder and managing director of DADA, Scotland's fastest growing marketing company. This Scottish agency has a global outlook and a passion for being creative without losing sight of the important things the client and the end result.
Oli also owns the legendary Sloans, which is Glasgow's oldest bar and restaurant.
A former lawyer with international experience, Oli spent a year in the Far East, negotiating joint venture agreements worth upwards of 50 million dollars. He also spent a period freelancing for UK tabloids and broadsheets, including the Herald and Daily Record.
It was his breaking story of a royal scandal with the Daily Mirror which really whet his appetite for a career in the media. His front page exclusive with the paper led not only to a job offer but the resignation of Prince Edward from his TV company.
Oli then turned his hand to TV after successfully writing and pitching in several TV programme concepts to major UK production companies. Oli worked with Ideal World (now IWC) based in London working in programme development alongside the creative director of the company.
With several successful commissions and having been rapidly promoted, Oli felt the time had come to embark on the culmination of his career to date the creation of DADA.
In 2003, DADA was established. An agency with four distinct divisions PR, Events, Ventures and Design and Advertising. An agency with a distinct goal delivering results.
Oli Norman has established a reputation as one of Scotland's most prolific young entrepreneurs and is a prominent figure in the Scottish business and media scene. His relationship with senior journalists and editors throughout the UK is unrivalled.
