Comedian, presenter and event host Des McLean.  In demand as a corporate presenter, he regularly hosts a variety of events and awards as well as performing stand-up comedy routines.

​

Multi-award winning stand-up comedian, TV & Radio presenter and actor Des is Based in Glasgow and works extensively  throughout the UK and across the world and has recently toured America, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

​

For TV Des regularly presents on programmes for both BBC & STV. For radio Des co-hosted the Clyde 1 Breakfast Show for 5 years, winning three prestigious Sony Radio Awards for the creativity of the content.

Billy Connolly has cited Des as his favourite comedian.

Every event is different and Des works hard to ensure that his presentation is within the parameters of the occasion, working with organisers who always praise him for his hard work, enthusiasm and engagement of the audience

On stage Des has appeared in a number of productions, including in 2013 Iain Pattison’s critically acclaimed play ‘I Tommy’, about the life of politician Tommy Sheridan.

In 2014 Des created ‘Des McLean’s A to Z of Scotland’ which he performed to audiences in a major nationwide tour. The accompanying DVD to the tour is the latest addition to the series of his best selling catalogue of DVD’s & CD’s.

 

Recent clients include Renfrewshire Council, Sky TV, Lloyds TSB, Inverclyde Council, North Lanarkshire Council, The Wise Group, The Royal Bank of Scotland and Celtic Football Club.
